food poll

So I'm cooking for my church (again) and am interested in hearing thoughts about the menu. I've got about the same budget as before, though I'm never cooking roasted red pepper soup for 40 again. I'd like to keep the whole thing a little simpler than dishes I have to (a) keep a really close eye on, and (b) spend 6 hours rotating peppers on roasting trays in the oven...

If you have any suggestions that would fly with a wide variety of people (i.e., no fish), please post 'em in the comments!

bonds

I just saw a graphic on Baseball Tonight: if Bonds went 0-for-the-season (i.e., he didn't get a single hit all year), he would still have an on-base percentage of .390, good enough to be tied for 13th in the NL.

[Note: don't worry - baseball will soon be over and then I'll have nothing left to talk about.]
