coming 'round

If you've read my site much, you probably remember my descent into despair about not being able to have kids or my subsequent plunge under the knife to give it a shot after all. Two scars, $7,000 and a whole lot of practicing later and...

...we're pregnant! Vanessa just passed sixteen weeks yesterday and is feeling and looking great. We're so freaking thrilled; neither of could believe the results of the pregnancy test that Vanessa took on a whim, more to clear out space in a drawer than to check if she was pregnant. I even made her show me the test, as I thought she was surely just playing a cruel joke on me. :-)

So there it is. Life isn't all bad news and bad breaks — I guess Jobu got his refill.
