cognitive dissonance is fun

I overheard a little snippet of a conversation in the gym locker room last night:

... so yeah, I haven't smoked bud for TWO MONTHS, but I'm still testing dirty!

Nothing says "cognitive dissonance" quite like bragging about one's drug usage at the gym.

So is he testing himself? Or has he failed that many drug tests for jobs?

Lamentably, I don't know, as he was doing neither whilst standing there in the locker room. I suspect it was the former in hopes of actually getting a job (or competing for something).
